Answer: User created missions aren't really a part of our plan; we need to make sure all of the other stuff works.

Answer: More updates and content will be added to the games, and new games will be coming in the future.

 

[ijji] GM_Jaquio: Question: Logokas: Will G Coin items like paint and decals ever get to be bought forever? Many people such as myself have ditched the idea of buying 90 day paint, because we don't really no-life the game all the time, and probably half the money just goes to waste.

Answer: There's not really a plan to do unlimited but things can always change.

Answer: Cars get released maybe one or two per month. The Channel Battle is currently planned for the end of this year or early next year.

Answer: That of course depends on your play style. I prefer top speed, some prefer durability and some prefer looks.

Answer: As of right now, there is nothing of that sort, but perhaps in the future we will have something similar to this idea.

Answer: I think aside from the Channel Battles, we're also thinking of having a league or racing cup of some sort.

Answer: The studio created the game fairly recently.

Answer: I play Soldier Front more often then DC. Jaquio is definitely the best at DC. We play as much as possible though.

Answer: Right now there's no plan for that but assuming we'll have more besdies the channel battle we''ll look into it.

Answer: I usually get in a few hours a day of playtime in DC.

Answer: Yes, we're definitely planning on adding more cars, and I'm sure some of them will require coupons.

Answer: There are no plans at the moment, but that's a good idea.

Answer: It depends on how busy I am but I like to play 2-3 hours at work and home.

Answer: The studio did the designs, they had sort of a import racing culture in mind.

Answer: We're trying to work on it, it takes time.

Answer: I would have to say south of Asia and North of Australia.

Answer: This is a known issue and is currently being worked on.

Answer: There is but currently it's only on the Skid Rush site. We'll think about hosting it on our own though.

 

[ijji] GM_Dak: Question: What do you like to do when playing drift city? Misions, races, puirsuits, delivery, instant misions, or just cruising around?

Answer: I usually do missions and races, but sometimes its nice to cruise around and do a patrol mission for items :)

Answer: No plans for an Xbox 360 version of Drift City at this time ^_^ hehe.

Answer: New islands and cities depend on what we can do with the studio. As far as missions, we definitely are going to do more to keep that part of the game going once all of the missions are completed.

Answer: DC is based mainly on GM_Xanders life. Ok, really it is fully fiction.

Answer: We'll try to do it early next year around the time of channel battle.

Answer: I joined in another department and moved to the GM team later on.

Answer: We work together in an Office. I get to look at the other GM's pretty faces all day >_< hehe.

Answer: A friend of mine was contacted by a talent agency via an online resume website. He referred me to the talent agency. Then I went through a series of interviews and there was much nail biting. Then I got call saying that NHN would like to expend the position of a Game Master to me! ^_^

 

[ijji] GM_Jaquio: Question: Moyboy31: How many cars does DC plan on having? like a big variety maybe?

Answer: Aside from the cars already planned, we would like to add much more, even straying away from the import and exotic car types in the game.

Answer: Jaquio sure wants there to be hehe. Can't say for sure at this time though.

Answer: We're working with both in-house developers and the studios to resolve these sort of issues. The HelpDesk is our customer service area and can be used to try and resolve any game issues. You can contact them by clicking the Help in the upper right corner of the ijji website and searching for your issue. After searching, there will be an Ask a Question option that appears on the left.

Answer: Stay tuned to the Drift City Event forum for possible updates!

Answer: I personally owned a 67 mustang fastback. I think this would be a great addition to the game.

Answer: I think time will tell if we're able to do it. Right now the items will help you customize the look of your own car. To increase the graphical features, it also involves upgrade the buildspecs and such.

Answer: This will not happen.

Answer: Yes they do, but I'm not sure if they understand my job completely.

 

[ijji] GM_Dak: Question: Will you be adding a "health" to your car where once you take so much damage, you can only go 25mps and have to get to a station?

Answer: Cars in Battle Zone races have durability, when you run out you go slow until your car is repaired. This doesn't happen in the mission zone though.

 

[ijji] GM_Jaquio: Question: Panthar: I see there are some car companies as sponsors in this game (Jeep and Subumaru, I remember those). How did they become become part of this game?

Answer: A deal was struck long ago with the partent car company, and the deal turned out to be worldwide, so we can use them in our game.

 

[ijji] GM_Xander: Question: !░░ YIKES.caffeine ░░!: Will there someday be a option to join crews on the crew website(on ijji) instead of going in game to join it?

Answer: Currently the website is used more for communicating with your current clan. This may be something we implement in the future, but for now you'll need to actually be online to join a crew.

Answer: The filter is an evolving thing

[ijji] GM_Jaquio: and it will be fixed for abnormalities like that.

Answer: There are ideas like that but right now they're in the conceptual phase.

Answer: This is something that may come out in the future.

Answer: Because its the best ^_^

Answer: What gets released is basically a decision of the prjoect manager. With input for everyone, including users, a decision is made on what to release.

[ijji] GM_Jaquio: Question: Logokas: Many people are heavily taking advantage of the "red light" glitch that backs up traffic and allows massive hauling of skill passes ( 20-40 with each pass respectively ). Why did this bug occur and when will it be fixed?

Answer: If cars are stopped an never move, it's a problem with one of the servers. At that point we identify the problem and a special guy here starts them back up. A few times we had a problem where no cars were in the city, so the 'guy' dumped about 500 cars in the city. It was fun.

Answer: GM Xander was drifting the other day when we went out to get some lunch....It's a lot less scary in DC.

Answer: I've tried to drift, but failed to a real drift. It was more like a quick turn.

Answer: A practice mode or track is a great idea. Obviously Area 71 isn't available for it but the other tracks are always available in the city =P

Answer: It differs from day to day. I look at issues, help create web content, make plans, play with users. All I want is 30 hours in a day.

Answer: Right now no, but giving people options to change camera angles easier for more cinematic effect is something we want to do.

Answer: Personally, I think it's better to autokick someone not starting the race than have people stuck in a room and have to start a new race.

Answer: It involves a large amount of energy drinks, ping pong and bans.

Answer: Go through all of the DC emails. Scan the forums for possible in-game issues. Help QA do some game testing. Get beaten by Xander in SF. Play Drift City along with some of the other ijji games. Investigate harassment reports and deal with offenders appropriately. Update Web content. And whatever else Jaquio tells me to do that day.

Answer: yes. :)

Answer: The delevopers thought about it, but when actually applied, it was found to be disadvantageous for varioius reasons. Personally I'd like to try it anyway, so we'll see.

Answer: I'm bad...I like ramming people into traffic while racing them in the Battle Zones.

Answer: There is a way to hook up joypads, even xbox 360 controls. However it requires use of a few peripheral tools that im sure you could find on google.com.

Answer: It's something I really want but it tends to get pushed back in favor of other features. We'll keep trying to get it.

Answer: This is definitely something we're pushing for.

Answer: The mittron tanker is not suitable for racing and will only be a mission car.

Answer: It's been thought and will take some time to develop because the interface doesn't really support that kind of thing well.

Answer: This is part of the Channel Battle update scheduled for late this year or early next year.

Answer: We're trying to plan something like that, it's good for practice.

Answer: It will be possible to sell cars via events. But iit most likely not stay permanent.

Answer: The game has to be launched from the website, there are no plans to change this.

Answer: Yeah, there will be something like that in the future. Not sure of how soon though.

Answer: This is noted. Assuming we're able get more created, They'll be more fun and interesting.

Answer: I'm working on a Drift City guide on StrategyWiki. Have any of you taken a look at it, and if so, would you like to contribute to it?

Is there any consideration being made to be able to launch Drift City directly from Xfire without going through the ijji site?

Will there be OGG support for the in-game music player or will only MP3s be supported?

 

Car upgrades won't be bought with Mito, but other things may be.

You have to go to ijji.com to launch DC, this will not change for a while. As for ogg support, there are no plans to do so.
