Answer: nick - i play tons of games! my longtime favorite currently is world of warcraft, but on the road i play my psp a ton. lately its been nhl 07, dungeon siege and tekken dark resurrection

Answer: shane - hell yes we do!

Answer: nick - fire up the blades! we couldnt be more proud of the way the record turned out and the way all the different influences came together to create what we think is the most diverse 3iob record yet

Answer: shane - those bands have every right to sing about they want to. i enjoy certain political bands. hanving said that, we keep our politics to ourselves. were all about fun, and escaping whats going on in the world
roxxxorocknrollclown: Question: bcmike420: When the new album was composed, was the music written for the lyrics, the lyrics for the music, or was it a truly collaborative effort with you all there for the "cheap beer and bong hits" at once? BTW, you f'n rock!!
Answer: nick: the music was written before the lyrics for the most part. but we all work on the music and beer and bong hits together!

Answer: shane - slayer nick - judas priest!

Answer: nick - my mom loves the band actually. its pretty funny, shes never been into metal. but she came and saw us open for iron maiden. and now she walks around with this shirt that says heavy metal momma
roxxxorocknrollclown: Question: Xabi: Who did you listen to most at the age of 12-15, roughly, and has this influenced on your music?
Answer: shane - metallica, the whole reason i play the way i do is because of james hetfield. im a huge fan of rythm guitar players. hetfield and malcom young from ac/dc both influence me a lot.
roxxxorocknrollclown: Question: SilverSwordsman: If i challenged the whole band to a duel, and I choose a mace, what weapon would you choose to fight with (and it can't be a gun, since your too ghetto to use one)?
Answer: nick - the almighty warhammer! sign of the hammer be my guide!
roxxxorocknrollclown: Question: Chuckles: How was it having joey of slipknot help with the new album?
Answer: shane - it was great, helped the band focus on our goal of getting those songs exactly the way we wanted them. our individual performances and also our band performances were greatly aided by joeys years of exp. many lost nights of partying as well!
roxxxorocknrollclown: Question: WafflesxCore: How do you think you guys have progressed as a band from Advance and Vanquish, to Fire Up The Blades?
Answer: shane - the bands never been a tighter unit and more focused than we are now. nick - i think this group of musicians can realize any sort of metal song that we'd ever want to write!
roxxxorocknrollclown: Question: Xabi: How do you think the RR Street Team do? Are you proud? Ever met them? (I'm part of it :D)
Answer: nick - the RR street teamers are great! they help get the word out to places we cant. im stoked to meet anyone who wants to help or love the metal cause
roxxxorocknrollclown: Question: Xabi: Are you a fan of supposedly 'true metal' bands like Manowar, or do you think it's overhyped twaddle?
Answer: nick - i like manowar a lot, but a lot of the other "true" metal bands i cant really hang with. little too much frilly shirts and wierdness
roxxxorocknrollclown: Question: anticitizen: Do you listen to any of the 'extreme' types of metal (such as death/black, etc)?
Answer: shane - yes, i love extreme metal. pig destroyer, soilent green, agoraphobic nosebleed. i also really like certain black metal bands such as behemoth, enslaved. stuff like that
roxxxorocknrollclown: Question: UTZ|swartsengagger: what do you prefer that the audience does : a normal mosh pit, a circle pit, a wall of death or just jumping up and down.
Answer: nick - all of the above! we love it when people can come rock out with us any way they please!
roxxxorocknrollclown: Question: BFM_Knight †┌╦╤─ iPwn™: What has been your worst touring experience? Van break down?
Answer: nick - in feb we were on tour with cradle of filth. we were in the north eastern united states. and it was 20 below 0. out heater core broke so we had no heat. but also was spewing anti freeze fumes up through the vents. so we had to drive 8 hours to the next city with the windows down, no heat and it was 20 below! that was crappy. but the shows make it all worth it!

Answer: shane - already there!
roxxxorocknrollclown: Question: Rën&Stiмpy: one of the singers looks as though he would have a low voice. what inspired him to sing so amazingly high?
Answer: nick - cams influenced by guys like bruce dickinson, dio, ian gillan, halford and stuff like that. he just practiced to guys like that. the classics!

Answer: nick - we are all riding the darkhorse!

Answer: nick - we have one banner thats similar that was giving to us by fans in germany!

Answer: shane - haha maybe! but were cheap and dont have lots of money. so breaking guitars means less of our actual guitars!

Answer: nick - i love hanging with all the bands, and meeting fans at the FYE tent everyday. that by far is the best part for me

Answer: shane - it fucking rules! just today i bought guitar world because it had working man by rush in it. its a good idea for anyone learning. young or old. it always helps!

Answer: nick - ill always black sabbath the most, and some of ozzys early stuff. now adays he does what he can

Answer: nick - religion only inspires songs is a way of destruction i would say hehe

Answer: nick - the shows we did in canada with a7x helped us a lot in eastern canada where were still trying to build a solid fan base!

Answer: nick - some of us ride bikes, some of us play video games, but all of us usually drink!

Answer: nick - its more up to local promoters who have dates availible

Answer: nick - i probably would be in another metal band, hopefully doing the exact same thing. once your in, your hooked. there is nother greater to me in this world than playing metal that people can have a good time to. i love it more than anything else.

Answer: shane - a brand called "old style pilsner", brewed by molson
roxxxorocknrollclown: Question: BLASTOISE: Often when metal bands achieve commercialness/extreme popularity, they become unpopular and unattractive to the hardcore metalfans. What do you think of this? Do you want to stay "underground" or would you like to become more mainstream?
Answer: nick - we will always be underground and stay as true to the streets as possible. thats what we love, and thats what we do

Answer: nick - we spend time with family, and rehearse new songs and write new riffs. also lots of us love camping. drinking in the woods around a campfire!

Answer: nick - we have the best fans ever! the fans of metal are people that will never let you down as long as you dont let them down. we try to write songs that we love and that the fans of metal will love. so that all of us can organize in halls and have a great time together!

Answer: shane - 10 seconds, because when you worship the devil, satan processes information into your brain at 10 second intervals.

Answer: nick - running wild, immortal, priest, rainbow! stuff like that
roxxxorocknrollclown: Question: sakuzawarrior: Does Cam had have any problems with his voice (power/heavy metal is quite exhausting for vocalist) and how he keep shape of his voice (lot of beer? :P)?
Answer: nick - i must say, cam pipes has one of the strongest most consistant voices ive ever heard. night after night, the dude always sounds good. all i can say, it may be magic!

Answer: nick - when the PA goes out, or theres sound problems. thats the worst!
roxxxorocknrollclown: Question: BLASTOISE: How do you look upon the development of metal music from it's birth 'till today? Is metal better today than it was before? I'd also love to hear your views upon the scream/growl vocals being used more and more in modern metal.
Answer: nick - i love classics. there are some modern bands that are doing awesome original stuff for metal, but its mostly in the underground. screamy vocals can be great with the right application. but i will always the singing, and the melody of a classic metal song.

Answer: shane - 1 year and 11 months
roxxxorocknrollclown: Question: Xabi: I currently have long hair, down to past my shoulders. Would you reccomend growing it further, and going crazy, or trimming it and keeping it at a similar length to what it is currently?
Answer: nick - LET IT GO!

Answer: nick - weve actually been talking about that recently. hopefully something can be put together before the end of the year. maybe call it "the goatriders" or something?

Answer: nick - to quote a favorite band of mine, "no fucking way!"

Answer: nick - its awesome. it helps us out so much! and we thank all of you for that!

Answer: shane - straight up, DONT SHAVE! however, if you just got the peach fuzz mustache goin on. shave until it comes in thicker

Answer: nick - not as of yet. but damn that would rule! as long as the movie wasnt like KISS meets the phantom of the park
