Today I'm going to take you on a small ride around the studio and some of the people who help make Age of Conan happen. These guys and gals help develop and maintain Age of Conan on a daily basis while having to deal with all the issues that come along with it. Nothing is ever easy when you have such a massive game that requires constant attention and large level of detail as the games in our genre.

Community Update - October 23rd, 2009
The final fixes to the issue with some of the server logs mentioned earlier this week have been thoroughly tested now and everything looks good to go for next week. So we still aim to get update 1.05.6 to the live servers early next week. We'll announce the downtime as soon as we have it all setup and prepared.
By the way ... together with the already announced changes and additions like the Iron Tower, Veteran Rewards and the Seasonal Event, there will also be another new service offered after update 1.05.6 went live. That new feature is related to getting rewards for friends you recruit to join Age of Conan. More information about this will be revealed when the update goes live so keep your eyes open.

That’s right we’re invading your community! The Funcom Community Team will now help manage the Age of Conan Community on Xfire. This is a very good thing because now we can help keep you guys updated with the latest information with development of the game as well help plan rocking Xfire events.
We’ll also be around to answer any questions when we can from the Xfire forums and the comment section on the news articles we post. That way we can help branch out from our own side of the world to your side of the world with greater ease to you.

Letter from the Game Director - September
For this month’s letter Craig Morrison wanted to go into some details on the new veteran reward system and new content (Iron Tower) that will go live with the next game update. The update is getting ready for the test server (at least when I am writing this, there is every chance the build will already be on the test servers as you read this!)
Veterans System
As I mentioned in my last letter this new system offers veterans a whole new set of rewards that they can purchase from new veteran vendors depending on how long they have subscribed for.
Veteran Points and how you earn them
Players will be awarded new veteran points for each month that they have paid for (whether it is through subscription or game-cards). Each month that a player pays for will accrue a certain number of points, with the number of points awarded each month growing after each six-month period they have subscribed for. In addition there is a bonus amount awarded at each six month interval. These numbers...
