ReDeYe: [20:54] Heroes aerox (therealbeeman): To ReDeYe: Was your time in Singapore Airport as awesome as it was for me (Pretty freaking awesome)
I dont recall my time at the airport due to being rather drunk on the way back after the tournament ended :p
dfb: [20:52] Heroes aerox (therealbeeman): To dfb and Jetset: As the only people from the benelux, you have witnessed the decline of the benelux scene in Call of Duty. Would you think that after the actions taken by the BNLX community after the awe-inspiring blog from Vanner, the community is back in an uprise, or are we still stuck in the rut?
I think the Benelux has always sported some good talents, despite being such a smalll region. We can only do our best but I think we are doing a good job. There will always be times where the activity will go down but I hope we'll see some good Benelux teams or players attend future Call of Duty events
Jetset: [20:51] Luke (forza67): @everyone out of all the places you've been because of esports, where is the best place you've been and why
Tough to answer but I had a lot of fun in Copenhagen (SHG Open), Antwerp (OOF/AEF) and Newbury (i33).
crow: [20:51] Luke (forza67): @everyone out of all the places you've been because of esports, where is the best place you've been and why
Definitely the ESWC events in Paris. Watching literally thousands of fans cheering every frag in a real sports stadium is the best gaming gets outside Korea.
dfb: [20:59] Asuka DUK (the2ndchildren): Is the old TEK9 quoting going to come back on the forum ?
Hey A-suck-a this answer has been answered already that we are looking into it but nothing concrete yet. The feedback from the community showed us that they would like it back so we are definately thinking about it
wizinium: [20:59] Asuka DUK (the2ndchildren): Is the old TEK9 quoting going to come back on the forum ?
I hope so, the forum topic was passed on but its up to Steven!
ReDeYe: [21:00] tek9|agour (agouranga): redeye, do you think e-sports will ever become a worlwide recognised sport, such as football?
I would love to say yes, but as a realist, probably no it wont, at least not as big as football, but in time I do think it can become formally accepted as a sport in its own right around the world and not just in Sweden, China and Korea, but everywhere. I also think it can be on TV on a regular basis, but more like Poker is right now rather than say football
dfb: [21:00] FLAZJE (flshy): guys where are final standings hm awards?
The official announcement of the winners will be up tomorrow!
wizinium: [21:01] Asuka DUK (the2ndchildren): To Wiz; Have you ever considered releasing a book on your life for all your many fans to read?
LMAO, I knew something like that was coming. I was considering it just for you to read!
wizinium: : [21:01] Heroes aerox (therealbeeman): Question to DFB and Wizinium: Why was the response to asuka so sudden, and the response to others so late?
She would rage me on xfire and start moaning at me
dfb: [21:01] Heroes aerox (therealbeeman): Question to DFB and Wizinium: Why was the response to asuka so sudden, and the response to others so late?
We simply don't like her and answer her question quickly in the hope she would then leave

Jetset: [Xf Helper] 4CH!LL3S (h4hnib4l): [21:00] idefixion (snickernicky): To DFB or redeye - When players finally reached the top of gaming alot of them seemed to quit/going inactive. Why would gamers do that when they are such on a high level, and is this resolve able?
Personally I would say that reaching the top takes a lot of effort and everyone eventually needs a break. Its probably more rewarding and motivating to try and earn your place at the top than to already be at the top.
dfb: [21:00] idefixion (snickernicky): To DFB or redeye - When players finally reached the top of gaming alot of them seemed to quit/going inactive. Why would gamers do that when they are such on a high level, and is this resolve able?
I think it has mostly to do with gaming not being a full blown sport yet and for most making a living out of it is still a dream. Those who do get lucky have no worries but those who don't have to tend to family, school, work or whatever and as time goes by you'll notice it takes up more and more time as you get older. That is, in my opinion, why the older players sometimes go inactive.
dfb: [21:04] Asuka DUK (the2ndchildren): Question to dfb; Why you acting the big man please just cause you're in the spotlight of question time

Hush - I don't get this kind of attention a lot (I tend to hide away in dark places for most of the day) so I need to grab every second I can get to play the big man!
wizinium: so true
[Xf Helper] 4CH!LL3S (h4hnib4l): [21:06] tek9|agour (agouranga): to anyone: do you think cod4 has a strong compettive future, with large lan- purses, or do you think the community lacks the means to do so?
wizinium: wasnt so big when I beat him up at i38

:;
dfb: [21:06] Heroes pazazu (laterzzz): to everyone: How do you feel about a benelux EPS? Do you think this is achievable?
There is already an EPS Benelux hosted by ESL and supported by Wsquared
Jetset: [21:04] Heroes aerox (therealbeeman): to dfb: I have been keylogged, and my account has been banned for keyloggin. Is it possible to get it unbanned?
Yes. Contact me via email or irc and I will take care of it, assuming that your pc problems are over (and get you a new password).
dfb: [21:06] [Xf Helper] 4CH!LL3S (h4hnib4l): [21:06] tek9|agour (agouranga): to anyone: do you think cod4 has a strong compettive future, with large lan- purses, or do you think the community lacks the means to do so?
I think we will see a strong Call of Duty 4 scene in 2010. I'm not able to predict the future (yet... I'm working on that) so I cannot really look beyond that. My guess is that COD4 will surpass the level of activity (event wise) it had last year. It would be hard to top the year of AEF / TEX and Iseries all with decent prize purses but at least we have a goalç
dfb: [21:08] Heroes aerox (therealbeeman): Also to DFB: I derped and left my id card at oof3. Your advice was to mail sam, and he would sort it out. I have done so, but never gotten a reply, and when i contacted him on irc he didn't respond. Could you see what's up?
I will check with Outpost to see if they still have an ID card as we don't have any items that were left behind. Mail going out right now!
Jetset: [21:06] Heroes pazazu (laterzzz): to everyone: How do you feel about a benelux EPS? Do you think this is achievable?
You mean whether getting CoD4 selected as an EPS Benelux game is achievable? I definately think so but it depends on the community as they initially did not put a lot of effort into it when the benelux pro series were first announced.
wizinium: [21:11] bAKEZJi2k10 ((nYe)) (aaron109): here's my question to tek9... how awesome does one have to be to be as awesome as you..
be as good as me at HoN
Jetset: [21:11] bAKEZJi2k10 ((nYe)) (aaron109): here's my question to tek9... how awesome does one have to be to be as awesome as you..
Pretty awesome. But we make special exceptions for people from Northern Ireland
dfb: [21:11] abbie (abbiejke): to dfb: how soon u will fix tek9 and we add buddies and read/send messages?
It is on our to do list and I'm happy to report that the clan pages are now visible. You cannot edit anything in there yet but at least you can already see them. The buddysystem is next on the list and we've just recently brought in some help to speed things up a bit as Daniel (our current coder) was/is swamped.
dfb: [21:12] idefixion (snickernicky): to all - imagine you played cod4 competivly. What would be your team lineup if you could put your own team together?
How about Crow, JETSET, Wizinium, ReDeYe and myself? That team could surely tackle anything tossed in its direction!
wizinium: [21:12] idefixion (snickernicky): to all - imagine you played cod4 competivly. What would be your team lineup if you could put your own team together?
Me, twrs, joeforobs, encore and emu. Team Ulitmatium, best tream EVER was too funny
ReDeYe: [21:12] idefixion (snickernicky): to all - imagine you played cod4 competivly. What would be your team lineup if you could put your own team together?
Vasquez, Robye, Stevy and Raz (Yeah I know two snipers, but I like being different and you gotta have some shotgun power in there too

)
ReDeYe: [21:16] Heroes aerox (therealbeeman): To ReDeYe: Do you still pub on games? And if so, what ones
I havent played pubs or mixes for a while due to personal circumstance changing, but I do enjoy it, especially with a small group of close friends. We play all sorts really, one night it might be L4D, then the next some CSS and I try to get a bit of Quake Live in when I can, but right now its just stupidly busy for us at Heaven, maybe next month
dfb: 21:16] FLAZJE (flshy): when will team pages and such be up again, no hurry for me but maybe for others

Clan pages are now visible though you cannot edit them yet. More changes soob!
dfb: *soon
wizinium: 21:21] bAKEZJi2k10 ((nYe)) (aaron109): To all: What would be your best advice for aspiring writers and/or esports journalists.
You have to have a passion for it for esports, if you dont there is no point doing it!
dfb: 21:21] bAKEZJi2k10 ((nYe)) (aaron109): To all: What would be your best advice for aspiring writers and/or esports journalists.
Keep improving your writing skills and you can only do that by writing and reading a lot. Stay in touch with the scene and know what is happening around you. Apply for a writer job at a site and work your way up from there!
