Hey all, I have took part in the Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising Video capture contest. Everything went fine untill the day the 'winners' were released. At the end of the competition time i was second in the 'ofpteam' category with +- 400 votes, i have had a lot of complaints of people telling me i was cheating ... i can assure you i didn't, i asked all the people i met in the last 9 years i game online to vote on my video, most of them had never heared of 'Xfire' (strange people ...) anyhow they had to make an acount before they could vote for me which made a lot less people vote (to much work...). So i end second at least that's what i think, one week after the competition was done the 'winners' where released and i wasn't between them, i immediatly added the moderating admin from the competition "lavant". We had a conversation and i soon noticed that he didn't really knew what to say and had no prove of anything. I have taken a screenshot of the entire conversation: So after talking to "lavant" i had to be ok with the answer that 81.32% of my votes was illegitimate because the acounts of my friends were created in a "bulk" so when i ask a group of friends to go vote (chatrooms full of people) on a video for me these votes where counted as "spam" as the acounts were created in a "bulk". So i had a lot less "legal" votes as i quote from that conversation: "Accounting only legitimate votes you had 88 cool votes and ranked 7th" (after "lavant" started ignoring me) The next day i went back to see the winners and saw that something had changed in my category, the one that was second had been disqualified so considering what "lavant" told me above i should be second in that category but someone ells has become second with at that time 72 cool votes. I wanted to talk "lavant" about this but he seemed to have deleted me out of his friendslist, i saw he was online on the website so i sended a new invite to add me as friend but i got ignored, after a few friend invites i made a new acount(modernwarfare2cod) to check if he would accept me as friend if he didn't knew who i was and i got accepted immediately ... This is the conversation we had then: So suddenly i only got 39 cool votes ... which i ridiculous low and i know this is not correct. The "prove" i got is some text typed in xfire which should present a table ... I can type something like that myself in xfire as well so i would like i REAL prove. I didn't expect something like this from a community as "Xfire" i wish to have a fair chance to win a prize, not being ignored ... I hope i get a fair answer here Greetz, Thomas |

| Everyone says their family and friends voted. But if you check the fake accounts that commentent, you see they come from countries I haven't even heard of and just randomly spread across the world like: British ocean island thing, afghanistan, marroko, uzbekistan, pluto... you must travel a lot then I guess... lol | ||

Hey Death, I'm talking about internet friends here and as you probably know its easy to have contact with people all over the world on the internet, most of the people i know from online gaming i don't even know from which country they are. Still waiting for a reply of Xfire ... Greets, |

| I'm here for a decent reply / prove of Xfire not for people their opinion whether they belive me or not ... i know i played fair. | ||

You had bulk votes and got disqualified which is what the person said. Most of the votes probably came from the same IP. Theyhave to deal with alot people cheating to get votes so they know what to look for.

Hey, The fact that my votes came in a bulk is quite logical as i asked groups of people to vote for my video, i can assure that they did not came from one IP, i know i asked a lot of people to vote. If that is xfire their explanation then i would like prove of that as i know it isn't true. |
