Hey everyone just figured I'd let you know about our MP Modern Weapons Mod for WaW. Modded by =QLS= Traustic and used in conjunction with OpenWarfare Mod. Edit: Newer version since youtube vids with streamlined weapons catagories and fixed sounds. Also fixed the issue with the MW sniper rifles. Fails why? Because you don't like it? This thread isn't for you then, and I could care less about your opinion if that's the case since this is posted to appeal to WaW players, not CoD4 players who don't play WaW. Thanks for making your opinion known before ACTUALLY having played it though. Without having played the mod your opinion really means nothing. As far WaW vs. CoD4 IMO: WaW is far better in graphics and gameplay, and has bigger and better maps. While it might not have been that way at the start, they have come a long way in making this game what it is now, and our mod makes it even better. I have CoD4, and never got into it. I did, however get into WaW. Only thing I found missing was a little more speed to the game, which the mod we did succeeded in doing, but doesn't over-load the gameplay into chaos like CoD4 does ALOT. These are MY opinions, and you will not find me in CoD4 posts bashing that game, because it doesn't matter to me which is better to some people. I am just trying to make the game that I and my community play the most better for EVERYONE. |

WaW has the same graphics as cod4 as it wasn't that big of a gap between the 2 games. WaW has round about the same sizeable maps as cod4. Onto the topic: Hope it goes well. _______________ |

The only major issue I have with WaW is that the competitive community never took off for it. Partly because Promod in WaW was awful.

That mod is completly pointless. Theres no need to make it, I mean really its basiclly CoD4 with worse graphics.....

kind of a waste of time... if u want to play mw get play mw if u want cod waw play waw... these mods dont last long. they where really famous on vcod tho. _______________ |

I've come to realize this is a CoD4 fanboy stronghold. I'm pretty sure I wasn't asking for MW players' opinions. I was letting WaW people know about it is all. To the rest continue to have fun on your stellar game. Nothing to see here. gg's |

| Ehh, you realize that the cod4 community is nearly 9-10x bigger than that of WaW. And statistically all those who own CoDWaW already have CoD4, meaning they would just swap the game instead of downloading a mod. We aren't necessarily CoD4 fanboys, we just think that the amount of time you took to make a CoD4 mod kind of defeated itself. I know of no one who doesn't own CoD4 if they already have CoDWaW. | ||

Just so everyone who's posted understands what I getting at. Again, I am just letting WaW players know. The mod IS already popular. My goal isn't to get attention to the mod more as it's to let WaW players know they have a choice in THIS GAME ONLY. This is 1 of our 3 running the mod: http://www.gametracker.com/server_info/8.12.18.57:28960/ As you can see populating isn't the issue. Plus, the numerous people who have asked for the mod to run on their WaW servers tells me otherwise that all these WaW players have OR want to play CoD4 instead. By all means if you have CoD4 and like it better, play it. I'm not trying to convert CoD4 players, and am not trying to get CoD4 players to compare, I'm just informing players of the game WE play. One more time. This is a mod for people who PLAY World at War, and was put out there as a choice in THIS game. |

I'll admit, it is unfortunate how most topics concerning WaW turn into discussions on why people might not like it... Now, the mod itself seems odd, but I would have to ask if anyone who has played CoD4 for a while hasn't played rifle mod? _______________ I could agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong. |
